Format
This Shakespeare masterclass guides actors through a hands-on exploration of text and performance. The session begins with warm-ups and verse work to engage voice, body, and rhythm, followed by scansion and text analysis to uncover meter, emphasis, and subtext. Participants then perform monologues with focused coaching on intention, emotion, and truthful delivery, and use image and embodiment exercises to connect language to physical and emotional expression. The class concludes with performance, reflection, and feedback, equipping actors with practical tools to deepen their understanding and mastery of Shakespearean text.
